Firstly, I would like to express my admiration to all the speakers and delegates who braved the elements to attend the REPs convention in Cardiff back in February. There were some heroic tales of people battling with disrupted journeys, but those who made it were rewarded with a fine range of workshops and lectures. Well done to those heroes of CPD!
A recurring theme for us recently has been our increasing involvement with projects focusing on inclusive fitness. As an example, we are working with European partners to develop a training package which will help fitness centre management and staff be better able to accommodate inclusive fitness in their facilities. The ultimate aim is to make every facility and instructor across Europe more amenable, open and aware of inclusivity in their fitness provision. In this issue you will also find an article from the team at spinal injuries charity Aspire which focuses on their award-winning training programme to provide disabled people with free, accessible training leading to a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
On a final point, we would like to draw your attention to our shiny new website and Members Area. These have been revamped and updated based on feedback we have received from you, so check them out and have a play around, we are sure you will like what you see.
Keep working hard, stay healthy and carry on enjoying working in the best industry there is.
