Job description: Freelance Personal Trainer, Sports Massage Therapist and Nutritional Advisor. Qualifications: First Class BA (Hons) in Economics. Premier Diploma in Personal Training and Sports Massage Therapy. National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer.
Best thing about your job: Working with people of all ages and abilities. Assisting clients reach their goals and seeing the associated benefits, such as an increase in self-confidence, is highly rewarding.
Light bulb moment: Sitting at a desk in my previous career in banking in the City of London one day and realising that a career in Personal Training would enable me to achieve my goal of helping people, and thereby be more rewarding!
The next step: Having spent time training in Los Angeles, I believe many of the concepts in the American health and fitness industry can be successfully applied in the UK market. As a result of this research, I aim to open a specialist personal training studio and healthy eating cafe on the Brighton seafront, offering healthy foods to help clients reach their fitness goals.
