Delegates enjoyed keynote presentations from peak performance coach Jamie Edwards (Trained Brain) and Dr Cath Sanderson from Leeds Met University who shared her insights into understanding eating behaviour and patterns.

There was the choice of practical and interactive workshops including an aerobics class on logical layering and learning by Cherry Baker from Professional Fitness and Education and a workshop on postural analysis from Fit Pro. In addition, all delegates received free entry into the LIW trade show which included the REPs stand.

REPs Registrar Jean Ann Fee increase

As from April 2011 the annual registration fee for REPs members will be £27, an increase of £2 per year.

This small increase represents the increased costs to the organisation and the significant growth in membership benefits. In the last year the Register has launched new benefits such as free up-skilling units, public awareness materials and marketing tools for members.

In the next 12 months there are plans to also offer members on-line registration, more effective management of CPD and access to an on-line professional CV.

Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch said: “Since it began REPs has grown from a small register to an internationally recognised member- based organisation, with nearly 29,000 members.

“Bearing this in mind we feel now is the right time to increase our annual membership fees.

“We feel this still represents amazing value for money and hope the extra revenue this increase generates will enable us to provide even more benefits for our members and allow us to further our work on their behalf.”
