REPS NEWS SQA recognised by Register
It was announced at the REPs convention in Edinburgh that Scottish Qualifications Authority qualifications in fitness will now be recognised by the Register.
The announcement follows many months of discussions and mapping and means when candidates complete a Higher National Certificate in Fitness and Exercise will receive entry to REPs Level 2. Candidates completing the National Progression Award in Fitness they will receive entry to REPs level 1. With just over 1500 Scottish members REPs is increasingly being seen by employers in Scotland as a way of demonstrating to the public the qualifications and competence of their fitness staff.
