the active ingredient exhibits dose-dependent regenerative properties, significantly stimulating wound healing even at low concentrations.
Stretch mark treatment – in vivo evaluation At the beginning of the 20th century, stretch marks were primarily associated with pregnancy, a well-known hormonal and physical phenomenon. However, today, they also affect other groups, particularly adolescents during growth spurts and individuals experiencing significant and rapid body changes, such as athletes engaged in bodybuilding, individuals gaining or losing weight quickly, or those suffering from obesity. Interestingly, although stretch marks affect
both boys and girls, they are more common in women. The causes of stretch marks, or striae, are often linked to rapid skin stretching, which leads to a breakdown of collagen fibres, resulting in the formation of linear scars. There are two main types of stretch marks:
striae rubrae and striae albae. The acute phase (striae rubrae) is characterized by initial erythematous, red, and flattened lesions (sometimes slightly raised), which are aligned perpendicularly to the direction of skin tension and can be symptomatic. The chronic phase (striae albae) is classified
when stretch marks have faded and appear atrophic, wrinkled, and hypopigmented. In vivo tests were conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of our treatment on stretch marks in female volunteers aged 30 to 60 years. A cream containing 3% of the active
ingredient was applied twice a day, morning and evening, for seven weeks, following a rigorous protocol: an adequate amount was gently massaged into the affected area until fully absorbed. The results were recorded using image
analysis across the entire region of interest (ROI), with a Nikon D5600.
Evaluation of the area, perimeter, and volume of the marks The test results show that after just seven weeks of use, significant improvements were observed in various aspects of stretch marks. More

specifically: ■ Number of stretch marks decreased by 14.2% ■ Perimeter reduced by 18.3% ■ Surface area decreased by 19.2% ■ Volume reduced by 19.4%
Evaluation of redness and skin homogeneity The test results show that already for four weeks of use and increasingly after 7 week, significant improvements were observed in terms of redness and overall skin uniformity. More specifically: ■ Number of red marks decreased by 12.4% ■ Redness surface area reduced by 9.2% ■ Redness coverage decreased by 7.1% These positive results on stretch mark
redness led to an improvement in skin uniformity, with an increase in homogeneity of 10.8% in four weeks and 22.9% in seven weeks, showing statistically significant results. These findings confirm that the cream is
particularly effective for treating recent stretch marks and accelerates skin healing.
Conclusion Natura-Tec SeaWonder stands as a true innovation in the field of repairing, healing, and reshaping skin care, combining cutting- edge biotechnology with natural ingredients to
meet the needs of fragile and damaged skin.
