Wind Awareness ⻛向意识
It is much easier to learn key manoeuvres once you have developed good awareness of wind direction. The wind is constantly changing, so check its direction regularly. Flags ashore at the centre or club will give a general idea of wind direction before getting afloat, but the best indicator is the feel of wind on your face and neck and the set of the sails. With a little practice, you will soon develop an automatic awareness of wind direction.

Wind Direction ⻛向
There are two main ways of referring to wind direction: 描述⻛向的⽅式主要有两种: 1.
Using the points of the compass – the wind direction describes where the wind is coming from. For example, a southerly wind is when the wind is blowing from the south.
1. 采⽤罗盘⽅位——⻛向表示⻛是从哪个⽅向吹来。例如,南⻛指的是⻛从南⽅吹来。
2. Relative to the shoreline – wind direction can be described as onshore, cross-shore or offshore. Combinations of these terms are also used, e.g.: cross-onshore.
