Welcome to the April 2022 edition of Personal Care Global magazine. Since I started this
job last August, the first big mark on the calendar has been In-Cosmetics Global in Paris on 5-7 April. For most of those
months, the big question was whether the COVID-19 pandemic would allow it to happen. Now, the awful scenes of war in Ukraine are
reminding us that there are even greater threats to humanity even than a pandemic. A return to ‘business as usual’ has rarely seemed so far away and concerns about whether or not trade shows will happen seem utterly trivial. Nonetheless, at the time of writing a few

weeks ahead of show time, In-Cosmetics is still going ahead and it is possible that you will be reading these words in Paris. The whole Personal Care Global team will of course be there at Booth N14 (not T169 as originally planned) and we look forward to seeing you there. Please get in touch or just come straight to the booth if you would like to make an appointment with any of us.
We have already previewed in-cosmetics
Global in the last edition. This month, we are looking ahead to the largest personal care event in North America. NYSCC Suppliers’ Day is returning to its long-standing venue, the Javits Convention Centre in New York, on 3-4 May. This issue features also features an extended
preview from the organisers and highlights of what key exhibitors are showing at their stands. We will be using the two events to source
ideas for future issues, including reviews of all the latest announcements at both, but we need to get organised before then, so here is a quick reminder of the areas of focus in the next two issues and the deadlines for first drafts: ■ June: Testing, Trending Technologies, Hair Styling (8 April, with some potential wiggle room) ■ July: Anti-Ageing, Preservatives, Global Regulation (9 May) As ever, though – and the current issue is
no exception – there is always scope to include content ad hoc that does not fit in with the dedicated features. So please don’t be put off if what you have to offer does not seem to fit and please do get in touch with your ideas. We hope to see you in Paris.
