popular Future Chemists Workshop (FCW) has grown into a national event attracting chapter participation from across the country. FCW will provide invited university students with insight on how to be a cosmetic chemist through a real-time challenge-based tutorial and practical workshop.


PERSONAL CARE April 2022 NYSCC’s mentorship initiatives, which are


another paramount mission of the chapter, will be out in full force at Suppliers’ Day. A meet-up type mentorship lunch mixer and information session, driven by the NYSCC database that matches formulations wand product development specialists, will bridge connections between young and experienced professionals in the beauty and personal care industry. The programme will also include a presentation by a cosmetic leadership coach who will assist participants in establishing and cultivating meaningful relationships. Attendees will also be able to join the national SCC and NYSCC for its 3rd Annual Career Development Day on 4 May. Here, they will be able to meet and talk with representatives from colleges and universities who specialise in cosmetic science education as well as connecting with employers in the cosmetics and personal care industry offering internships and/or looking to hire entry level positions. Speakers will address various topics that will propel career paths in the cosmetics and personal care industry. Celebrate the industry, renew partnerships,


create new ones and be there when the eight finalists are announced for the NYSCC- sponsored CEW Beauty Creators Award for Ingredients & Formulation at the Industry Awards Night on 3 May.
