Procedure: Heat Phase A water to 55-60°C. Add disodium EDTA and mix until it dissolves. Add Phase B and heat to 75°C. Add Phase C ingredients one at a time with slow mixing until it uniformly dissolves. Cool batch to 30°C and adjust pH to 5.0-5.5 with Phase D. Add Phase E ingredients one at a time to batch with slow mixing. Cool batch. Properties pH at 25°C: 6.5–7.5 Viscosity at 25°C: 15,000+ cP (Brookfield Helipath, T bar C, 10 rpm) Appearance: Viscous, pale olive cream

Procedure: Charge the vessel with water and add xanthan gum into a vortex, stirring until fully dissolved. Add remaining Phase A ingredients and heat to 80°C. In a separate vessel , heat Phase B ingredients to 80°C with gentle stirring. Once both phases are up to temperature, add B to A with homogenising to form a smooth, white emulsion. Allow to cool to below 40°C with stirring before adding remaining ingredients in order, allowing to mix between additions. Check pH and adjust as required Properties Appearance: Viscous, clear Stability: Stable for at least 12 weeks at 45 °C; Stable for at least 12 weeks at 5°C; Stable for at least 12 weeks at room temperature. Viscosity: 900000 cPs (BRK HP 96, 20°C, 1 rpm, torque 96%) pH value: 6.5–7.0 (original)
