ANGEL FALLS & RANCH ADVENTURE 16 DAYS – VENEZUELA’S WILDLIFE AND WETLANDS
On this exhilarating family holiday we explore the ‘lost world’ of Venezuela. We canoe through jungle-lined rivers to the thundering waters of Angel Falls and go white-water rafting in the Andean foothills. In the Los Llanos wetlands region we search for many of the country’s native animals including the armadillo and giant anteater. We also spend days relaxing, snorkelling and swimming in Morrocoy Marine Park on the Caribbean coast.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Caracas. Day 2 Jungle interior Fly to Kavac, passing over the thundering waters of Angel Falls (January to May). Days 3/6 Angel Falls Canoe along jungle-lined rivers to Angel Falls. Camp in forest shelter. Travel to Canaima and fly to Ciudad Bolivar. Days 7/8 Wildlife spotting Fish for Piranhas and search for anacondas, alligators, giant anteaters and dolphins in Los
Llanos Wetlands. Days 9/10 Rafting Enjoy white-water rafting in the Andean foothills. Days 11/13 Marrocoy Marine Park Take a boat trip to snorkel over the coral reefs and explore the caves of this park. Optional windsurfing and scuba diving. Day 14 Colonia Tovar Visit this German settlement in the cloud forest hills. Days 15/16 Overnight flight to the UK.
