A TASTE OF MOROCCO 5 DAYS – MARRAKECH AND THE HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS
Join us on this short but action-packed trip to Morocco, where we enjoy the bustle of exotic Marrakech and the tranquil majesty of the nearby High Atlas mountains. In the mountains we stay in a typical Berber village, sample traditional food at the house of a local family and walk in the valley amongst terraced fields and fruit orchards.
ITINERARY
Day 1 Fly to Marrakech. Day 2 Into the Atlas Take a guided tour of Marrakech. Explore the maze of alleyways in the souks and the noise and colour of the medina. Drive to the small village of Ouirgane in the High Atlas mountains. Day 3 Berber villages Explore the land of the Berbers, known as the ‘Lords of the Atlas’ with a walk through the glorious mountain scenery. Visit a local family to enjoy a traditional Berber lunch. Day 4 Marrakech Return to the city and enjoy an evening visit to the Djemma El Fna square to see the jugglers, acrobats and snake charmers. Day 5 Fly to the UK.
