ROCK THE KASBAH! 8 DAYS – TEEN ADVENTURES IN SOUTHERN MOROCCO


An active adventure in the Moroccan wilderness exploring North Africa’s highest mountains and the world’s largest desert. We ride mules in the High Atlas and cycle the southern mountain slopes. We explore the great Sahara Desert by camel and sleep among the dunes. We also discover the ancient city of Marrakech and experience the evening street entertainment on the Djemma El Fna square.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Marrakech. Day 2 High Atlas Mountains Travel to the mountains. Mule trek to the remote village of Tourza. Day 3 Ait Ben Haddou Morning hike in the valleys of the southern Atlas. Visit the iconic kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, used as a set in films from Lawrence of Arabia to Gladiator. Day 4 Southern Oases Cycle to Ouarzazate and visit the Atlas Film Studios. Drive south to the oasis of Tamnougalt and stay in a Kasbah. Day 5 The Great Sahara Camel ride to the remote Tiraf dunes and camp Bedouin-style under the stars. Days 6/7 Marrakech Return to the city and experience the sights and sounds of the souks and medina with a guided tour. Enjoy an evening visit to the Djemma El Fna square to see the jugglers, acrobats and snake charmers. Day 8 Fly to the UK.
