Travel with us through Egypt’s impressive collection of ancient sites, from the colossal Pyramids of Giza to the mysterious Valley of the Kings. Camel trek through the desert to St. Simeon’s Monastery and cruise the Nile between Luxor and Aswan. Explore the colourful, vibrant markets and take an adventurous donkey trek through farmland and mud brick villages.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Cairo. Day 2 Cairo Pyramids Visit the Pyramids and the Sphinx, some of the world’s greatest ancient monuments. Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to numerous antiquities, including Tutankhamen’s famous mask. Overnight train to Aswan. Day 3 Aswan Sightseeing and relaxing by the hotel pool, enjoy a traditional dinner with a local Nubian


family. Day 4 Abu Simbel Opportunity to visit this enormous and magnificent temple. Day 5 Camel Trek Travel by camel to St Simeon’s Monastery before boarding the Nile riverboat for a three-day voyage downriver to Luxor. Stop at the Kom Ombo temple, which is dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Day 6 Edfu Temple Sail to Esna Lock and visit the Edfu Temple. Day 7 Luxor Arrive in Luxor in the afternoon. Relax by the hotel pool or haggle in the market. There is an option to visit Karnak temple by horse-drawn calesh. Day 8 Optional balloon flight There is an optional early morning balloon ride before visiting the Valley of the Kings. Then we have the chance to enjoy an adventurous donkey trek past farmland and mud brick villages. Day 9 Fly to the UK.
