ANCIENT JUNGLE & TROPICAL BEACHES 14 DAYS – ADVENTURE IN THE ‘LAND OF SMILES’
Southern Thailand is blessed with the warm clear waters of tropical islands, ancient jungles and generous hospitality. On two nights we stay deep in one of southeast Asia’s oldest rainforests and unlock its secrets with a guided walk. In the second week we swap land for sea and discover two of the Gulf’s tropical islands.
ITINERARY
Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Bangkok. Option to float along the city’s klongs (canals) in a traditional longtail boat. Days 3/4 Bangkok Guided tour of the Grand Palace to admire its Emerald Buddha. Optional visit to other cultural sites including the house of silk businessman Jim Thompson, who vanished in Malaysia in 1967. Travel south on an overnight train to Surat Thani. Days 5/6 Jungle experience Stay in Khao Sok National Park, one of the
oldest rainforests in Southeast Asia and home to the Malaysian sun bear. Take a guided walk and elephant ride. Days 7/9 Koh Phangan Take a ferry to this idyllic tropical island where we can snorkel in warm, clear waters. Enjoy a boat trip around the island. Days 10/12 Koh Samui Visit the Ang Thong National Marine Park by boat and choose to join a Thai cookery class. Day 13 Bangkok Fly back to Bangkok with time for last minute shopping. Day 14 Fly to UK.
