EGYPTIAN DISCOVERY 10 DAYS – TRAVEL THE NILE, RELAX ON THE RED SEA


On this holiday to Egypt designed especially for those with young families we discover the Great Pyramids of Giza and explore the Valley of the Kings, home to Tutankhamen’s famous tomb. We swim in the warm waters of the Red Sea and admire the myriad of marine life in the coral reefs from the comfort of a glass-bottom boat.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Cairo. Day 2 Pyramids Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the seven ancient wonders of the world. Admire the Sphinx. There is an optional trip to a children’s theme park. Day 3 Egyptian Museum Visit the museum, home to many treasures including Tutankhamen’s golden mask. Take an overnight train to Luxor. Day 4 Felucca This afternoon we board a traditional sailboat and set sail on the Nile. Day 5 Valley of the Kings Visit the Queen Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings, home to the tomb of Tutankhamen. There is the option to take a donkey-cart ride through the countryside. Day 6 Karnak Temple Travel by horse-drawn carriage to Karnak Temple. Drive to Safaga. Days 7/8 Red Sea Take a trip on a glass-bottom boat to the islands and coral reefs, admiring the myriad of marine life. Relax on the coast or take a dip in the sea. Day 9 Fly to Cairo Spend the afternoon exploring this bustling capital or shopping for souvenirs. Day 10 Fly to the UK.
