Welcome to our 2012 Family Adventures Brochure.
I’m delighted to say that this year marks our 10th anniversary of providing award-winning adventure holidays that the whole family can enjoy together.
Our classic family destinations include places like France, Egypt, Italy and Croatia, as well as more distant favourites like India and Thailand. This year we’re introducing some pioneering new destinations: including Burma and Madagascar. We’ve also continued to develop our popular range of specialist ‘toddler-friendly’ and ‘teenage tours’.
I’m often asked what makes our family adventures so special. I think a big part of the magic comes from our Tour Leaders. They are all seasoned travellers with expert local knowledge and a passion for delivering great service – turning a good holiday into a great one. As well as sharing a fantastic travel experience, both adults and kids can do what they enjoy, without compromise – be it having a drink after a day’s sightseeing or joining in with a game of tag in the swimming pool. The small group format makes it really easy for everyone in the family to make new friends.
On a recent family holiday to Nicaragua with Explore, we visited a local school and read, ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ to a class of four year olds (in Spanish!). We then went scree- running down the side of an active volcano, as well as surfing, zip-wiring and kayaking. We all loved it - and the best thing was we did all the activities together as a family.
Experiencing different cultures and places is a great adventure for your family but we also think it should benefit the people and places you visit. We have an industry leading range of Environmental initiatives: which include offsetting 100% of the Co2 emissions from our flights, as well as supporting numerous humanitarian and wildlife organisations.
I’m sure you’ll find lots of ideas in this brochure to inspire your family. Please don’t hesitate to call or email us if you have any questions about booking your next family adventure with Explore.
Best wishes,
Ashley Toft Managing Director
