Southern Thailand’s warm, clear waters and tropical islands provide a perfect winter getaway. We discover some of world’s most beautiful beaches and explore ancient jungles: home of the whooping Gibbon monkey. A few days in the vibrant capital Bangkok adds a delightful contrast.
ITINERARY
Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Bangkok. Discover the city’s klongs (canals) in a traditional longtail boat (optional). Days 3/4 Bangkok Guided tour of the Grand Palace to admire the Emerald Buddha Days 5/6 Jungle experience We stay in Khao Sok National Park, one of the oldest and most bio-diverse rainforests in southeast asia and home to many whooping Gibbons. Wake up to the sounds of the jungle and explore by foot and on elephant back. Days 7/9 Koh Lanta Take a ferry to the island to relax, swim or watch the local fishermen at work. Travel to Koh Phi Phi island by speedboat for lunch and snorkelling. Days 10/12 Koh Hai Take a boat to the island. Swim in the Emerald Cave and the inland beach. Day 13 Bangkok Ferry to Krabi and flight to Bangkok for last- minute shopping. Day 14 Fly to UK.
