SINAI EXPLORER 9 DAYS – EXPLORE THE WONDERS OF DESERT AND COAST


Towering mountains, coral reefs and bustling cities are all part of this family adventure in Egypt. On our action-packed holiday we snorkel in the warm waters of the Red Sea and explore the Sinai Desert with walks through canyons and ‘wadis’ spending the night under the stars. We also visit ancient Egyptian sites including the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Cairo. Day 2 Pyramids Visit the Pyramids and the Sphinx, some of the world’s greatest ancient monuments. Visit the Egyptian Museum, home to numerous antiquities, including Tutankhamen’s famous mask. Day 3 Sinai Drive to St Catherine’s Monastery stopping for walks at Wadi Feiran on the way. Day 4 Mount Sinai Visit the site of the Burning Bush at St. Catherine’s Monastery. It is possible to hike to the summit of Mt Sinai, where Moses was said to have received the Ten Commandments. Day 5 Sinai Desert Explore the multi-coloured canyons and wadis before spending the night in a tented camp. Day 6 Ras Mohammed Visit the saline lake, mangrove forest, and earthquake rifts in the National Park. Discover the unique marine life by snorkelling around the coral reefs of the Red Sea. Day 7 Fly to Luxor Ride by horse-drawn calesh to visit the impressive Karnak Temple. Day 8 Valley of the Kings Early morning trip to the Hatshepsut Temple. Visit the Valley of the Kings, made famous by the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Day 9 Fly to the UK.
