DISCOVER VIETNAM 12 DAYS – VISITING THE HIGHLIGHTS OF VIETNAM


Experience an exciting introduction to Vietnam as we travel along the coast from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City. On this fun-filled adventure we sea kayak around the cliffs of Ha Long Bay and descend into the maze of tunnels remaining from the Vietnam War. We can also learn a martial art, make kites and cook a Vietnamese meal.


ITINERARY


Days 1/2 Overnight flight to Hanoi. Day 3 Hanoi Free time to explore the ancient city. Optional Vietnamese cookery class. Days 4/5 Ha Long Bay Cruise the jade waters of the bay on board a junk (traditional yacht). Learn to sea kayak and visit the ‘Surprise Grotto’. Take the ‘Reunification Express’ sleeper train to Hue. Day 6 Hue A free day with the option to learn a martial art, cycle to the Royal Tombs or visit the Imperial Citadel. Days 7/8 Hoi An Travel by bus across the scenic Hai Van Pass to the beautiful


sea port. Optional activities include kite- making with a local family, visiting the beach, taking a boat ride on the river or shopping for hand-tailored clothes. Day 9 Mekong Delta Fly to Saigon and the option to experience life on the waterways of the bustling delta. Day 10 Saigon and Cu Chi Tunnels Discover the underground Viet Cong hideout used during the Vietnam War. Explore the old quarter in cyclos (cycle carriages). Days 11/12 Fly to the UK.
