LYCIAN EXPLORER 8 DAYS – A REAL TURKISH DELIGHT


On this family holiday to Turkey we explore the beautiful shores of the Turquoise Coast and uncover the rich history of ancient Lycia. Based in the harbour towns of Dalyan and Kas on the Turkish Riviera we visit the ancient cites of Xanthos and Caunus. We explore the submerged city of Kekova, experience traditional mud baths and relax on the golden sands of Iztuzu beach.


ITINERARY


Day 1 Fly to Dalaman. Travel to Dalyan. Day 2 Turtle Beach Travel by riverboat to the ancient rock tombs and ruins at Caunus. Visit Iztuzu Beach, famous for its nesting turtles. Day 3 Hot springs and mud baths Take a boat upstream to Lake Koycegiz. Swim in the lake and enjoy the hot springs and mud baths. Day 4 Village lunch Travel east along the coast to Minare and enjoy a delicious local lunch. Visit the ancient capital of Xanthos (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Travel to Kas.
