Overview of Assessment
The three strands: Personal Finance, Enterprise and Our Economy are treated as one unit for assessment purposes and the assessment is at a common level. Upon completion of the course you must understand the learning outcomes and be able to apply them to real-life scenarios.
Written Paper
It is extremely important to revise and prepare adequately for the written examination. You must practise questions and be aware of the marking schemes, which are available on the website of the State Examinations Commission: www.examinations.ie.
Business Studies examination layout The Junior Cycle Business Studies paper is two hours long. There are two sections: Section A: Short Questions Section B: Long Questions You must answer all questions (you must know a little about each topic on the course).
