2. Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)
• This is Ireland’s national energy agency. It was established in 2002. • Its main aim is to try and promote sustainable energy by: • Developing renewable sources of energy • Improving energy efficiency • Reducing the impact of energy use.
• Examples of SEAI initiatives: • Grants for newer, more efficient boilers for heating • Better energy home scheme – making homes more efficient in their use of energy.
