Introduction to Bookkeeping/Accounting
The practice of recording income and expenditure is called accounting. Accounts are records of business transactions. They summarise the information on the business documents outlined in the previous unit. Accounts are compiled either by accountants who work in the business, or external accountants who are hired by the business. Examples of accounting companies include KPMG and Price Waterhouse Cooper (PWC).
