1. Practise past Assessments Task questions. 2. Write neatly and clearly.
3. Revise the action verbs on page xiii in the activity book to help you understand the questions being asked.
The Assessment Task is divided into three sections:
A. Reflection on my Knowledge and Understanding In this section students must: 3 Give the title of your presentation.
3 Give a brief overview of new knowledge on the topic of your presentation. Students should write two pieces of new knowledge they learned from undertaking the project.
3 Explain why you feel this new knowledge is important.
Here, students should write about why the two pieces on new knowledge from above are important.
B. Reflection on my Skills as a Presenter Students have the option of two questions:
3 Explain how your communication skills as a presenter developed during the completion of your presentation.
Students must think back on the skills they learned or improved on in the lead up to and during the presentation, for example making eye contact, engaging with the audience, etc. Again, students should use two separate points to answer the question.
3 Explain how your choice of support materials aided effective communication to your target audience.
Students must again use two separate points to explain their answer. Students could discuss the use of a presentation or other aid which was used in their presentation and how it involved the audience.
C. Self-reflection Here students have the option of two questions:
3 Explain how your presentation or opinion on the topic has changed as a result of completing the presentation.
