Good morning. I’m Arif, the new junior paediatric nurse.
Hi, Arif. I’m Dr Mahmoud Farid. How are you? Fine, thanks.
I’m your buddy for the first couple of weeks. I’m going to show you the system here and answer any of your questions.
So, what’s my first job?
Mahmoud: You’re going to work with me today. Arif:
Great. What are we doing?
Mahmoud: We’re going to work in physiotherapy first. You know, where children are taught to move again after operations. That sounds interesting.
Arif: Mahmoud:
4 Arif:
Yes, it’s fascinating. We’re going to meet with some very interesting people today.
Could you tell me something about the Children’s Ward?
Mahmoud: Well, there are 24 beds and 14 permanent staff. At the moment, we have 19 patients. Some of them are acute. It’s very busy.
Arif: Who’s the head of the ward?
