● Most verbs ending in -eler and -eter: Double the l or the t before a silent ending (the endings -e, -es, -ent). For example: s’appeler (to be called) Je m’appelle Fabien = I am called Fabien.
There are also many other irregular present tense verbs which do not follow a pattern. You should learn the common irregular verbs on page 450.
2. Copy and complete the table of the most common irregular verbs in your copybook. See if you can remember them all.
