Solabia makes double play with Mibelle, Seqens deals
French active ingredients maker Solabia has agreed to acquire Swiss counterpart Mibelle Biochemistry from Persán for an undisclosed sum. The transaction comes less than
a year after Spanish personal and home care product maker Persán acquired Mibelle Group, the parent company of ingredient maker Mibelle Biochemistry, from Swiss retailer Migros. Founded in 1991, Mibelle
Biochemistry offers a science- backed portfolio spanning skin beauty, healthy aging, hair care, and cognitive support, with distribution in more than 50 countries. Solabia said the acquisition of
Mibelle Biochemistry strengthens Solabia’s leadership in natural and high-performance active ingredients by bringing together two science-driven organisations with highly complementary expertise in advanced biotechnology, plant- based science and sustainable innovation. Customers will benefit from a

Solabia has acquired the Botanical Actives and In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) divisions of compatriot Seqens. Seqens develops and
manufactures high performance vegetal active ingredients for cosmetics, as well as plasma and serum solutions for diagnostics applications. It operates a facility in Limoges,
France, which is recognized for its advanced botanical extraction and high-end manufacturing capabilities. A Solabia spokeswoman said the
acquisition represents a strategic opportunity for the Paris-based company to reinforce its global position as a leading supplier of high performance substantiated botanical active ingredients for cosmetics applications, while also securing a critical raw material supply for its diagnostics activities.
Givaudan to invest $71m in Grasse natural ingredients hub
Givaudan is to invest 55m Swiss francs (US$71m) in ‘Campus 52’, a new centre of excellence for natural ingredients in southern France. Following the acquisition of

Symrise unit to unite beauty
and health German speciality ingredients maker Symrise has established a Care & Wellness division incorporating cosmetic ingredients and beauty supplements. Part of the Scent & Care segment,
the new division aligns five business units to unlock synergies, improve speed-to-market and amplify innovation across beauty, personal care, biotics, supplements and pet health. Symrise wants to help customers
respond to fast-moving consumer expectations with science-based, high-performing solutions for topical, ingestible, and inside and outside beauty concepts. “Establishing Care & Wellness is
