Verdant rainforests and dramatic landscapes are all part of this trekking adventure in Madagascar. Getting off the beaten track we explore some of the lesser known reserves, searching for wildlife including lemurs and tree frogs. Trekking through the rainforest we visit local communities and learn about their culture.


15 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Antananarivo airport and transfer to Antsirabe. Day 2 Ranomafana Drive further south to Ranomafana National Park and set up camp by the park entrance. Days 3/4 Lemurs Trek into the rainforest looking for lemurs. Day 5 Anja Reserve Drive to Ambalavao and visit the Anja Reserve, home to ring-tailed lemurs. Days 6/7 Andringitra National Park Transfer to this national park and trek to the forest campsite. Take a night and early morning walk into the forest

Ranomafana Ranomafana Rest Day


looking for wildlife. Trek to the higher campsite in preparation for climbing Imarivolanitra. Day 8 Imarivolanitra Climb to Madagascar’s highest point (2658m) and enjoy the views over the park. Descend back to the lower campsite. Days 9/10 Isalo Continue to Isalo National Park. Walk amongst the sandstone landscapes and relax in the natural pools Day 11 Zombitse Park Trek back to the park entrance and travel to Toliara stopping at Zombitse Park en route. Continue to Ifaty. Day 12 Ifaty Spend the day


Ambalavao Andringitra Andringitra


by Ifaty beach. Opportunities to go bird-watching, snorkelling or to walk through ba obab and sp iney forest. Days 13/14 Antananarivo Transfer back to Toliara for your fl ight back to the island’s capital. Spend a relaxing day trekking in the typical highland landscapes around Antananarivo. Day 15 Tour ends Antananarivo.
