Walking in Petra and Wadi Rum
This walking tour covers some of the world’s most magnifi cent historic and natural sites, including the rock-carved city of Petra and the breathtaking canyons of Wadi Rum. We follow in the footsteps of the ancient Nabateans as we walk along the old spice trails, which connect Petra with the Mediterranean coast.
8 day tour itinerary
Day 1 Join tour in Amman. Day 2 Wadi Rum Drive along the Desert Highway to Wadi Rum and walk through the twisting siqs (canyons) to the camp. Day 3 Gorge walking Spend a day hiking among the gorges and canyons of Wadi Rum, the setting for the Lawrence of Arabia fi lm. Days 4/5 Petra Optional camel ride through the Siq al Barrah. Travel to

King’s Highway to Kerak Castle. Visit the ‘City of Mosaics’ in Madaba and admire the view from Mount Nebo. Day 7 Jerash Drive via the Dead Sea to Jerash - one of the most impressive surviving Roman cities. Continue to Amman. Day 8 Tour ends in Amman.
