Welcome to the 2015/16 edition of our Walking and Trekking Adventures brochure. Inside you will fi nd an inspiring selection of walking and trekking holidays around the world which will enable you to explore far-fl ung corners of the planet as well as places a little closer to home. We have tours for all abilities - from those looking to combine gentle walks with glorious food and wine tasting to those looking to tick another mountain summit off their list.
Explore has been running small group tours for nearly 35 years so you can be confi dent that you are in expert hands. The majority of our Tour Leaders are born and bred in the countries that they lead tours, so they know the treks like the back of their hands. They can take you far off-the-beaten-track to the places that only the locals know about, so you’re sure to have a one of a kind experience.
Our new walking and trekking group tours include a trek through the deep Guatemalan jungle to the Mayan site of Tikal, journeying on foot through ‘God’s own country’ of Kerala and trekking to Jebel Sahro in Morocco. For something European, we have added a new trek combining Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, a wine and walking holiday in Tuscany and a journey on foot through Rome and Umbria. The choices are endless.
If you love walking and trekking but would prefer to just travel with your partner or friends, don’t miss our brand new collection of self-guided walking and trekking tours in Europe. Armed with detailed route maps, a destination guide and notes, you can walk at your own pace, making as many or as few stops along the away as you like. Wherever and however you wish to undertake you next walking and trekking adventure, we hope you will be joining us in the near future.
