On this walking tour we concentrate on the northern half of the renowned Corfu Trail: from Liapades Beach to Agios Spyridon. We walk across the island to the eastern coastal town of Kalami for views of Albania on the horizon. We also trek along the Karst Plateau to the summit of Pantokrator Mountain, passing remote monasteries and hillside villages.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Tour starts Liapades Beach. Day 2 Agios Georgiou Walk across olive groves to Krini and down a cliff footpath to Agios Georgiou, the setting for the James Bond fi lm ‘For Your Eyes Only’. Day 3 Megapotamos River Hike alongside the river to Rekini through the picturesque village of Pagi. Day 4 Kalami Walk along a deep valley to Spartillas, stopping in the village square at Sokraki. Day 2: 4hrs Agios Georgiou


Kalami, a pretty village favoured by the poet a nd no velist La wrence Durrell. Day 5 Mountain Trails Drive back to Spartillas and hike up to a viewpoint at Taxiarchis Chapel. Ascend further to cross the Karst Plateau and up to the summit of Pantokrator Mountain (917m). Descend to Corfu’s northernmost point at Agios Spyridon.
