celebrating our 34th year of pioneering adventure travel. Our aim has always been to provide our customers with life-changing experiences to treasure forever, while also helping improve the lives of the local communities we visit. This philosophy has earned the trust of thousands of customers who travel with us year after year.


Walking Tour Leader of the Year


Every year our Tour Leaders compete in the coveted Explore Tour Leader of the Year Awards. The winner in our walking category in the 2013 awards was Sudarshan KC. Sudarshan (Su) leads some of our treks in Nepal and such is his popularity, regularly features on the Tour Leader of the Year Awards shortlist. He consistently receives amazing customer feedback; his knowledge, enthusiasm and excellent organisation skills are appreciated by those that travel with him. Each winning leader receives some prize money to put towards good causes in their home country. Su used his to support an organisation which looks after sexually exploited women and children in Nepal. He and some of Explore’s other Tour Leaders in Nepal delivered blankets and other items and spent time with the children and staff at a transit home in Kathmandu.
