Trekking out of the French Pyrenees through the Ariège and Aude regions, we pass pretty villages nestling in the shadows of dramatic castles. We also walk through impressive gorges and visit vineyards along the way to our fi nal destination - the spectacular fortifi ed city of Carcassonne.

Day 1 Join tour at Carcassonne airport and drive to Ax-Les-Thermes in the French Pyrenees. Day 2 Montaillou Walk from the Col du Chioula to the historic Cathar village of Montaillou with its small ruined castle.
