Walk along cypress-lined country roads and ‘strade bianche’ white gravel tracks, traversing forests of oak, beech and chestnut. Day 1 Your journey starts in Florence. We recommend you arrive early to enjoy a city walk by the River Arno and around the magnifi cent piazzas. Day 2 Fiesole Walk through countryside with great views of Florence to charming Fiesole. Explore its Etruscan ruins, Roman amphitheatre and Franciscan monastery. Day 3 Montespertoli Transfer to the rustic market village of Montespertoli before heading out for a stroll through open countryside with views of vineyards, olive groves and isolated

Day 2: 3hrs Florence
hill-top farms. Day 4 Loop walk Take a circular route south of the village through the Chianti Fiorentino area passing by old parish churches and elegant country villas. Day 5 San Gimignano After a short transfer to the village of Gambassi, you hike to San Gimignano on the ‘Via Francigena’, an ancient pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome. See the magnifi cent sight of the walled town’s thirteen medieval towers, perched ma jestically on a hill top. Day 6 Hamlets and fi elds Enjoy a

scenic walk along cypress-lined country lanes, passing vineyards and fi elds and the hamlets of Monteauto and Santa Lucia. Day 7 Siena After a short transfer to Monteriggione you walk to the marvelous medieval city of Siena where you can wander in the famous Piazza del Campo. Day 8 Your journey ends in Siena.
