Explore Evia and experience traditional Greece on this walking and cruise tour. Join our captain Thanos, on board his traditional Greek sailing boat as we sail to beautiful bays and small harbours, and walk to hillside villages, through olive groves and around ancient sites. We also promenade with the locals along the waterfronts of tranquil fi shing villages and sample the delicious regional cuisine.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Tour starts at Athens airport. Take a ferry to Evia. Transfer to Karystos and board the ‘caique’ (traditional fi shing boat) Day 2 Karystos Walk along country lanes and local paths to the hillside villages of Gourna, and to the Venetian fort Castello Rosso. Enjoy views to Mount Ohi and down to the coast. Visit Montofoli Wine Estate. Day 3 Petali Islands Spend the day relaxing and swimming off the boat near Petali - the exclusive island haven of the rich and famous. Day 4 Panagia Starting at Argyro we descend to the coastal hamlet of Agios Dimitrios and walk back along the coast to Panagia harbour. Sail to Eretria. Day 5 Eretria Visit the archaeological site and museum. Climb up to the acropolis on

Day 2: 5hrs Karystos


Castelli Hill. Cruise to Nea Styra. Day 6 Nea Styra Visit the stone, prehistoric ‘Dragon House’. Walk through the olive groves of the Valley of Styra. Sail to Marmari. Day 7 Marmari Transfer to the village of Kampos from where we walk around the Lycorema headland to Marmari. Continue by boat on to Karystos where we stay overnight in an hotel. Day 8 Take a ferry to Rafi na and transfer by bus to Athens where tour ends. * Itinerary may vary due to local conditions
