Following Madeira’s unique network of narrow irrigation channels, known as ‘levadas’, this tour incorporates some of the best walking trails on this beautiful volcanic island. Hike the dramatic ‘Balcony Walk’ to Madeira’s highest peak, and spend time absorbing the delights of the laid-back capital, Funchal.

Day 1 Join tour Funchal. Day 2 Sao Lourenco Peninsula Follow the spectacular cliff path along the peninsula for impressive views of the north coast. Day 3 Santana Take a path winding inland through forests from Pico das Pedras to Ilha. Drive along the impressive coastal corniche to the volcanic rock pools of Porto Moniz. Day 4 Levada Trails Cross from north to south along Madeira’s famous levadas - mini canals used by early
