On this holiday we explore the coastal and mountain villages of Crete. We discover isolated beaches, secluded coves and impressive canyons. We walk in the White Mountains, hike through the Samaria and Zaros Gorges and experience rural Cretan hospitality.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Khania. Day 2 Khania Explore the old, walled, harbour town before heading into the mountains. Transfer to the Omalos Plateau, where traditional goatherds tend their fl ocks. Day 3 Mount Gingilos Walk in the White Mountains and enjoy views over the Samaria Gorge. Option to climb Mount Gingilos. Day 4 Samaria

Optional Walks


Gorge Hike through Europe’s longest gorge to the old fi shing village of Ayia Roumeli and take the ferry to Loutro. Day 5 Loutro Explore the tiny coastal village - only accessible by sea or on foot. Optional walks include hiking in the Aradena Gorge. Day 6 Preveli Catch the ferry to Khora Sfakion. Drive to Zaros stopping at the working Preveli


Omalos Loutro


Monastery. Day 7 Zaros Hike through the spectacular ravines and canyons of the Zaros Gorge. Day 8 Tour ends Heraklion airport.
