IHLARA Hidden Trails of Cappadocia GV Trekking through one of Turkey’s most beautiful regions


Following ancient pathways we explore this unique region of central Turkey. We discover the famous ‘fairy chimneys’, rock-cut churches and the spectacular underground city of Kaymakli. From the Ihlara Valley we walk on six days through the landscapes of Cappadocia, following little-known trails past orchards and vineyards to traditional villages. Along the way we visit local landmarks including Uchisar ‘Castle’.


8 day tour itinerary


Day 1 Join tour Kayseri airport and transfer to Ihlara Valley Day 2 Ihlara Valley Hike from Ihlara to Selime via Belisirma. Explore the valley famous for its caves and rock-cut churches painted with religious frescoes by Byzantine priests. Day 3 Underground City and Zemi Valley Explore the ancient underground city of Kaymakli. Make a circular walk through the Zemi Valley through local farming areas. Day 4 Uchisar Castle Walk through
