Active Concepts has announced their distribution partnership in Japan with Summit Cosmetics Corporation. Formal distribution began on 1 January 2020.

cosmetic and personal care technologies. Active Concepts says that the cooperation with their new distribution partner will strengthen relationships with key accounts and expand sales, as Summit Cosmetics Corporation has key credentials to support their growth in Japan.

Strathclyde spin-out has bolstered its in-house capabilities by recruiting engineers from some of Scotland’s most innovative sectors, including the space industry. The additional specialists will further refine Cutitronics’ technology, which includes a suite of digital device-led platform technologies, and an accompanying mobile app. The system allows consumers to analyse their skin in real-time and achieve their desired skin care results.
The new team members will fill highly technical roles created to support the company’s ambitious growth aspirations and future-proof the technology. They will bring the total headcount of the company since its inception in 2014 to 19.
The new appointments
are: Ignacio Rubio Gomez - embedded software engineer; Daniel Lennon - senior mechanical project engineer; Sarah Shields - mechanical project engineer; Jim Doyle - senior electronics design engineer.
Founded by Dr David Heath in 2014, Cutitronics combines med-tech know- how with an in-depth understanding of the cosmetics industry. The company unveiled the first working prototype for its Cutitron technology and accompanying software at in-cosmetics Global in April 2019.
