adherence and produces a luxurious after-feel on the skin.
Phosjel series, arranged according to viscosity and application, will soon be released. For insights into the latest K- beauty trends and beauty developments, join KCI at NYSCC. KLK Oleo (booth 875) will feature DavosLife E3 Tocotrienols, a natural and sustainably sourced vitamin E for topical applications and oral beauty supplements. DavosLife E3 range of Tocotrienols are versatile, multifunctional ingredients that provide potent antioxidant protection from oxidative stress. They reduce inflammation in the skin and have unique skin brightening properties, which alpha-tocopherol does not. They also upregulate COLI and COLIII genes to stimulate collagen production. This multifunctional efficacy enables
formulators to use fewer ingredients and allows multiple applications: Anti-ageing; anti-pollution; blue light protection; sun care; skin brightening/lightening. KLK Oleo will feature sample
formulations for skin brightening and blue light protection at the show. Visit KLK OLEO’s booth 875 to see these and sample a collagen-boosting drink featuring DavosLife E3 Tocotrienols.
Measuring contact angle and wetting of powders is key to understanding the ability of particles to be separated and evenly distributed throughout your matrix. This dispersion is particularly useful when formulating coloured cosmetics, antiperspirants and sunscreens. The measurement, called Washburn
Direct, is performed on a Krüss (booth 979), force tensiometer and begins by placing filter paper at the open bottom of a small glass cylinder. The tube is partially filled with powder and is placed in contact with a liquid. Over time, the liquid rises inside the powder to the saturation point. State-of-the-art, patented software by Krüss, known as Advance, measures this rate of rise by plotting the contact angles of the powder across time and automatically defines the valid range, eliminating any user guesswork. This data helps you to understand contact angle at a given point and the statistical variation of those contact angles. It is also possible to calculate average contact angle over a defined period.
