Welcome to the May issue of Personal Care Global magazine. This issue has an in-depth look at the latest developments in personal care technologies for anti-pollution and sun care, as well as our biennial Japanese language section.
Elsewhere, there is an in-depth post-show
review of the highly successful in-cosmetics Global trade show in Barcelona, which saw a 33% jump in visitors on last year’s event in Paris. There was a genuine buzz about the show
and it was great to meet so many associates old and new, as well as take the time to learn about the latest innovations in this fast-moving and dynamic industry. Also in this issue, there is an interview with
the leadership of the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC): chair Stacey House and chair-elect Amber Evans. As senior figures with major brands Coty and Moroccanoil respectively, they offer a fascinating
STEP COMMUNICATIONS
perspective on the supplier end of the personal care sector and how the NYSCC plans to broaden out its reach to fulfill the potential of the organization and, ultimately, the industry. The interview comes ahead of NYSCC
Suppliers’ Day in New York, which returns to the Javits Centre on 2-3 May. The show will see a return of the World of
Chemistry conference track, which I am delighted to be moderating. The track will be a true ‘round-the-world’
session with speakers covering Brazil, Europe, Africa and Asia (including China), as well as Australia. As with Barcelona, the Personal Care Global
team will be out in force at Suppliers’ Day. You can find us at booth #856, where we will have copies of this magazine (April and May issues), as well as our latest Little Books - Little Book of Natural Ingredients Volume 4 and Little Book of Skin Care Volume 4. The Little Books are sure to ‘sell out’, so why
not visit us at the booth early to make sure you get hold of a copy? Enjoy the magazine.
