Diversity Excellence Model™

The National School’s Diversity Excellence Model™ (DEM) is based on the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Excellence Model® and brings together all the factors that need to be considered when weaving diversity into the fabric of an organisation. It has been acclaimed as the tool for measuring diversity in Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabularies (HMIC) report on Diversity Matters, the Morris Inquiry into professional standards in the Metropolitan Police Service and in the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) journal, People Management.

Influencing and Promoting Disability Awareness

For those who wish to promote and influence thinking about disability issues at work. This programme firmly places disability issues at the heart of the diversity agenda. Themes covered include the business case, the social concepts of disability and the Disability Discrimination Acts of 1996 and 2005, including the new Public Sector Disability Equality Duty. Some pre-programme work is necessary. An action learning set supports this programme to help you continue your professional development, share experiences and get updated on disability issues.
