For assistant economists who have joined the Government Economic Service (GES) in the past year. This programme provides an introduction to the service and the role of the GES Team, along with the opportunity to make valuable contacts in other organisations.

Option Appraisal for Economists

For economists involved in appraisal work (especially new entrants). This programme will enhance your ability to undertake, critically examine and give advice on the appraisal of investment and other options involving the use of resources. On completion, you should understand the techniques and context of current appraisal methodology as covered in the latest Green Book.
