Module 1 of the Certificate in Training Practice
For those new to learning and development (L&D) or wishing to study for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Training Practice (CTP). This programme provides an overview of the qualification, assessment processes, student responsibilities and support; how L&D links into the organisational context; L&D roles and relationships and the effect of legislation and government initiatives on L&D practice.
Those not seeking a qualification can attend the last two days of the programme at a reduced fee.

Identify and Prioritise Learning Needs Module 2 of the
Certificate in Training Practice
For anyone involved in identifying learning, development or training needs and recommending learning opportunities to others. This module explores different types of analysis, selection and design of effective methods, assessment of data-gathering techniques, and collation and analysis of data.
This module counts towards the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Training Practice (CTP). It can also be attended by those not seeking a qualification.

Deliver and Evaluate Training
Module 4 of the Certificate in Training Practice
For new trainers and others who present information to groups. This programme will help you plan, structure and monitor a session; present information clearly; select appropriate materials (including visual aids); deal with awkward situations; and evaluate the effectiveness of the training session. Some preparatory study is required.
This programme counts towards the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Training Practice (CTP).
Participants can obtain the Certificate in Professional Presentation Skills, which is a Level 4 qualification and will require one presentation to be assessed during the programme. This assessment will be undertaken by an independent assessor from the awarding body. This is an optional assessment for those participants who would like to obtain this qualification.
This module can also be attended by those not seeking a qualification.
Those not working in learning and development (L&D) who need to deliver presentations may wish to consider our Effective Presentation (EP) programme (see page 37).

Module 5 of the Certificate in Training Practice
For those working towards the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) Certificate in Training Practice (CTP). You will present your draft project and, on completion of the workshop, be able to identify any areas for change and complete your final CTP report.
