E-learning & the Virtual School

We offer a range of e-learning programmes, many of which are free. We also help organisations deliver their own engaging e-learning and manage secure online communities.

As budgets become ever tighter, e-learning can provide a really cost effective way of meeting your organisation’s learning needs. We can help you meet your objective, perhaps through building a pure on-line learning programme, or incorporating e-learning modules into more traditional programmes to provide a blended solution.

Many of the e-learning programmes that we have developed with government departments are now available across the Civil Service at our Virtual School, offering real convenience.

Existing programmes cover: protecting information; human rights; organisation design; and finance. Some of these have been created through cross-departmental collaboration; many are free to users, and several are available beyond the Civil Service.

We can help you through:

* Bespoke e-learning – we can take your existing material and turn it into engaging and cost-effective e-learning programmes. We can manage every stage of the process from initial concept, via script-writing and graphics, to publication and roll-out.
* Hosting – we can host your e-learning programmes on the Virtual School’s server. Our experience in navigating through government security requirements enables you to give people access to your programmes right across government.
* Partnering – we have extensive experience of bringing together teams to work on cross-cutting projects. E-learning programmes can engage broad audiences quickly, and project costs can be shared by partners.
* Creating an online community – using the latest Web 2.0 technologies we can help you create community sites for public servants with common interests – to develop understanding, or perhaps to accelerate a cross-cutting project.
