Human Rights Training for Lawyers
Administrative law structured programme
For lawyers in government who need to understand or refresh their understanding of the European Court of Human Rights and the Human Rights Act 1998. This is an intensive two-day non-residential programme focusing on aspects of Human Rights law of particular interest and relevance to departments. The format is a mixture of tutor-led sessions, group discussion and practical exercises.

Information Law Training
Admininstrative law structured programme
The two-day programme is structured to give you a practical grounding in information law. Day one focuses on Data Protection, day two on Freedom of Information. You may choose to come for only one of the days*. This is an intermediate programme for those needing to advise in this area and assumes the basic level of knowledge gained on the Introductory Course for Lawyers, or equivalent.
Both days are aimed at those with a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Freedom of Information Act 2000 who want get a more in-depth understanding of how the provisions work.

Extraterritorial Application of the European Court of Human Rights
A specialist programme in administrative law
Exploring legal and practical issues raised by the application of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), in areas such as Iraq and Afghanistan, or closer to home in the Channel Isles, across a range of scenarios, and the interface with wider Whitehall issues.
A good working knowledge of the ECHR is assumed, but no previous understanding of its extraterritorial application.
