72. CAR-T cell (or chimeric antigen receptor T cell) T cell that has been engineered to express, at its extracellular surface, an artificial antigen receptor; for example, against a certain type of cancer or virus (initially also referred to as ‘T-body’).
73. calibration curve A set of calibration standards at various known concentrations whose measured instrument responses are used to construct a regression curve to measure concentrations of study samples and quality control samples (QCs) or incurred samples.
74. calibration range The interval between the upper and lower limits of quantitation (ULOQ and LLOQ) that define the concentrations of analyte in the calibration standards (including these concentrations) for which it has been demonstrated that the analytical procedure meets the requirements for precision and accuracy. Also see ‘Analytical range’.
75. calibration standard A matrix sample to which a known amount of analyte has been added to be used in a series of calibrants for a standard curve.
