Consideração finais A onicodistrofia simétrica canina ou
oniquite lupoide é uma das causas me- nos frequentes de distúrbios ungueais em cães e gatos, o que dificulta a sua suspeita clínica. É uma onicopatia imu- nomediada, cujo diagnóstico definitivo é realizado por histopatologia da unha e do leito ungueal, sendo ambas as re- giões incomuns na rotina de colheita de fragmentos por biópsia para histopato- logia; porém, como essa afecção tem como diagnósticos diferenciais doenças importantes, faz-se necessária a colheita desses fragmentos.
