For cheerful, friendly staff and unbeatable value for money, look no further than The Marine on Ryde Esplanade. Situated just moments from sandy beaches, prime shopping locations and train, bus and ferry transportation, The Marine is just on the doorstep of holidaymakers and residents alike. Providing a warm, cosy atmosphere and mouth-watering selection of food cooked to order, as well as a wide range of wines, beers and spirits, it’s a great place to grab a drink and watch the world go by from a comfortable, contemporary setting. Sit back and admire beautiful surrounding architecture or plan family trips to the nearby ice rink or ten-pin bowling alley.

...classics such as beef stew and dumplings or tender beef burger...’

Catering for those seeking a high-quality snack, as well as for the serious foodie, the menu at this charming diner features dishes presented to a superb standard and all very reasonably priced. Complete with helpful allergy advice, it also offers plenty of options for vegetarians, and some all-important special meal-deals. What’s more, their meats and vegetables are sourced from local suppliers, so as to support small local businesses.

Succulent, melt-in-the-middle garlic bread was just £1.50 and absolutely gorgeous, although if you are looking for something more filling, I’d recommend the delicious chicken supreme in flavoursome white wine and creamy mushroom sauce accompanied by new potatoes and fresh vegetables. A selection of daily specials is displayed within easy view, opening your eyes to new and exciting fare as well as including classics such as beef stew and dumplings or a tender beef burger, served with golden, crispy chips and a garden-fresh side salad.

Take a stroll over to the bar area for traditional pub games such as pool and darts or perhaps join in with the evening entertainment – whether it be singing your heart out at karaoke, racking your brains on quiz night or hollering for local bands performing on stage. A quiet, relaxed dining establishment during the day which transforms into a bustling social venue during evenings, The Marine offers the best of both worlds and really breathes life into this seaside boulevard.
