The Red Carpet

 Location Eastleigh College, Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh, SO50 5FS t: 0844 683 6571 w: www.eastleigh.ac.uk e: restaurant@eastleigh.ac.uk

Conveniently located between Winchester and Southampton, The Red Carpet at Eastleigh College offers a high standard of cuisine and service. The restaurant boasts a relaxed, inviting atmosphere and a range of contemporary dishes and traditional classics; what really makes it unique, however, is the commitment and dedication of the lecturers and students. Award-winning Eastleigh College catering students produce creative dishes to an extremely high standard. They also regularly compete in culinary competitions, including the ‘Eastleigh’s Got Talent’ contest, which is held in the restaurant annually and sees diners marking the students.

The restaurant has great connections with many local suppliers and, consequently, the menu consistently showcases fresh, locally sourced produce. You might find something along the lines of River Test smoked trout with Mudeford shellfish bisque and Nanny Williams’ blue cheese soufflé to start, while mains might include roast pheasant with fried Savoy cabbage and Hampshire bacon, or braised Dorset leg of lamb with autumn roots. The Red Carpet has a fully licensed bar serving cocktails, wines, ales and spirits. Private dining is also available

for groups of up to 60. Visit on a themed evening – perhaps a Thai, Mexican, Greek or retro 70s night – or for the popular Burns Night dinner complete with local piper. Why not complement your restaurant experience with a visit to the College’s Essence @ Eastleigh Hair and Beauty Salon?
